Introduction

The conference is organised within the framework of the research project “Modelling and Research of Public Attitudes of Bulgarian Citizens Regarding the Image of Domestic Leisure Tourism: Situational Analysis and Conceptual Framework for Overcoming Negatives” funded by the Bulgarian National Science Fund (Contract No. КП06-H65/6, dated 12 December 2022)

The official language of the conference is English.

All papers will be double-peer reviewed.

Participants will receive electronic conference proceedings with ISBN and a certificate of participation.

Aim

The aim of the conference is to stimulate scholarly discussion on the challenges facing domestic tourism, arising from a wide range of factors, such as pandemics, environmental and economic crises, disasters, security issues, managerial shortcomings, and negative destination image. The conference also seeks to facilitate the exchange of ideas, research findings, and best practices related to the promotion and sustainable development of domestic tourism destinations.

Contributors

We welcome contributions from academics, researchers, professors, undergraduate and postgraduate students, PhD candidates, and practitioners in the fields of tourism, geography, economics, and tourism education. The conference programme will be coordinated by an international scientific committee.
